Notes & Quotes
Winning Coach: Terry Korth from Stockton
We went to a 2-3 zone after the first half and isolated Pistorius and Farnsworth and made them shoot outside shots.
We went out and had fun and played basketball. We relaxed and got after it. We didn’t panic when we got down.
Free throws have been a weakness all year. What a time to turn that around.
I thought they really stepped up in the fourth quarter and started to believe that we could win.
Losing Coach: Bob Morris from Normal (University)
We seemed to have a bit more fatigue in the legs than we had anticipated.
The difference in the game was their ability to knock down free throws and control the boards.
They did a nice job defensively and did what they needed to do to win the game. They outplayed us; they deserved to win. We’re not ashamed at all.
The basketball gods found another team to smile on today instead of U-High. We had a great run and I’ve had the oppotunity to be surrounded by some really great ladies.
