Winning Coach, Kathy Wuller, Belleville (Althoff) -- “This is a game of momentum. Our passing was down. In the second game, we couldn’t pass to save our lives, but we were able to pull through. When it was 6-6, we were struggling. I called a timeout to try to regroup. Now we know we go home with a trophy. It’s been a battle this far and we will continue to battle on. We wanted to win this one and then let the weekend go like it is supposed to. Ashley (Staff) is a very good server. It floats out there and is hard to return.”
Losing Coach, Tom Wait, Normal (Community) -- “We went back and forth for a while. It thought we would be able to come back. I thought we were on the same path we were in the last couple of games. I thought we would be able to come back. Sara Thomas is awesome. The Crusaders played a great match. They had momentum first, but we were able to come back and it was hard to maintain their momentum. It’s been a great season for me to come in. The girls did a great job of adjusting.
